Rebecca Taylor mixed things up at her spring/summer 2008 show, while still maintaining her signature romantic appeal. Her forecast for next season includes high waisted pencil skirts, embroidered peonies on tanks, and little menswear inspired jackets. Of course, the perennial Rebecca Taylor touch – the fluttering petals– was seen accenting silk tees and dresses. For an unexpected, yet welcomed, touch of glamour, she also included fun sequined bomber jackets and skirts. But the biggest surprise was juxtaposition of color-blocking accessories in vibrant hues of lollipop pink, turquoise, and bright blue. Patent leather accented bags and platform heels completed Taylor’s charming spring vision.
