I want some lamb on my plate – LAMB clothing and
accessories, that is. After a two-year absence from the tents, Gwen
Stefani knocked it out of the park with her Spring Summer 2008 line
which was chock full of sparkle, anything but basic black and white
separated, and plenty of plaid. I was feeling a very 1960’s vibe with
the beehive hair, shift dresses and psychedelic Andy Warholish images as
the backdrop. The use of sparkle for day, as when a sequined white top
was paired with khaki shorts and pumps, was fabulous. Sparkle for day is
slowly gaining ground this fall and hopefully more women will twinkle to
its tune come spring. Don’t be afraid lades just try it!

SpotteStandout Look: a black/white/grey plaid
draped gown
Standout Bag: the Buckingham Tote in Marigold – love the vintage
vibe. It reminds me of the old PanAm travel bags.
The Bags: structured bowlers, duffels and oversized clutches. Gwen’s
girls are ladylike in their silhouette choices, but rockn’ with their
print options such as cheetah or bold colors like ruby red.
