Props to Laura Poretzky for being the first designer to jump on the Payless (LINK: http://www.payless.com/) bandwagon and do budget-friendly accessories that many a fashionistas adore. For Abaete’s spring/summer 20008 collection consisted of soft flowy dresses, loose tunics, and cinched waists. These basic staples were often shown with open back, peep-toe Abaete for Payless(LINK: http://www.payless.com/Abaete/?cm_re=F07_p02a_20070815*Brands*Abaete) ankle booties and almost every look was topped off with a thick headband, which kept the styles looking fresh and laidback. While the show started off with the procession of soft pink and ivory combinations, later on, navy blue was added to the mix. Adding to the ‘I’m an effortless fashionista who plays by my own rules’ vibe of this collection was the incorporation of Abaete for Payless large clutches- a practical and chic choice.
