The Classic Herve Leger bandage
dress look took a serious hit when silhouettes began to gradually expand and
hiding being loads of layers became all the rage. However, thanks to
Max Azria,
the look is BACK and the brand's signature dresses are at the top of almost everyone's must-have list. Azria divided the show into two segments. In the
first, Azria stuck to the unique Herve Leger aesthetic, but reinterpreted it for
the modern woman by experimenting with shapes, cuts, and structure and adding modern
elements to the bandage style, like feathers, lace, organza, corsets, and
feathers and bead embroidery for added glamour. The second segment paid homage
to the staple Herve Leger look with a procession of iconic bandage-dresses in
rich hues like teal and amethyst and navy.
Overall Overall, the collection was a
stunning blend of old and new that officially marked the revival of the once
floundering fashion house.
