February 2, 2007—Yeohlee
is known for highly functional clothing and simple silhouettes. This
season the designer was inspired by Antoni Gaudi, famed architect best
know for his “unfinished” La Sagrada Família cathedral in Spain.
Draped in textured material such as felted woolens, featherweight silk
organdy woven with undulating velvet strips, and metallic taffetas, the
models truly looked like architectural marvels. From the pleating and
rouching of skirts and dresses to the billowing fabric on fabulous
coats, volume was the big statement. The choice of fabric was key in
creating these great 3D looks that made both an entrance and exit.
