February 4, 2007—Russian designer, Alexander
Terexov, the mastermind behind the label Terexov, has whipping up
streamlined skirts and elegant gowns in bright colors. Topaz, amethyst
and tourmaline shifts shimmered under the runway’s bright lights, while
silver zippers ran down the back seam of dresses adding an element of
punk rock to otherwise sophisticated silhouettes. Canary yellow
topcoats, chiffon Grecian gowns, and luxurious velvet cocktail dresses
done up with a sash completed Terexov’s lustrous line. Slate and black
accompanied by pale opal and aubergine were spun into floor length
gowns, while rich chestnuts and ivories transformed into party dresses
and classic wide leg trousers.
Terexov may not be the name on everyone’s lips at
the moment, but he is soon to be swarmed once fashionistas everywhere
catch a glimpse of his talent. With only two New York Fashion Weeks
under his belt, Alexander Terexov has made quite a name for himself
throughout Europe. Landing impressive features in the Russian version of
Vogue while studying up with Yves Saint Laurent in Paris, Terexov has
certainly got the credentials to become one of Bryant Park’s best.
