February 6, 2007—Despite blistering cold
weather, Jason Wu wowed a packed house. He kicked off the show with a
black brocade dress, but it was the mix of golden-mustard and
butter-yellow hues that really popped out at me. A gold cocktail dress
with metallic bodice and button detailing, a satin gold dress with a
pleated skirt and a black organza underskirt, a yellow chiffon gown
capped with a mink coat …. I could go on and on. For the true
fashionistas who love to push the envelope and play around with fashion,
- after all you only live once – dare to put on Wu’s final look, a red
empire waist gown with pockets and a satin trim. It doesn’t give you any
shape and yet it looks so sexy and young. If only I had a chic ball to
go to.
