February 4, 2007—After decades of designing, Diane
von Furstenberg knows not too veer too far from her signature style. For
Fall 2007, she delivered nothing short of dresses, dresses, dresses. The
coveted show opened with a DVF staple: the wrap dress. This time around,
it was glamified with pretty black taffeta. Other variations of the wrap
appeared in sunny orange with ruffles, flirty raspberry with a big bow,
and chic black with rosettes.
Surprisingly, DVF showed a lot of black for next
season. That’s not to say she didn’t show her classic prints. Fun a-line
minidresses were revamped in bold florals, polka dots of all sizes, and
Spanish-influenced swirls. Matching jackets and irresistible Christian
Louboutins completed the feminine looks.
