Last week’s New York coming out party for Miami-based LaLucca handbags, hosted by BagTrends.com, was a colorful night to remember.

Notable guests including Alex McCord of Real Housewives of New York, Jules Darling Kirby of Tinsley Mortimer's new CW show, High Society and celebrity stylist and designer Derek Warburton aka Derek Fabulous, mingled about and picked up their custom, one-of-a-kind LaLucca clutches.

Alex and Derek both selected clutches with an Alice in Wonderland theme of whimsical swirls and playing cards, while Jules opted for an Egyptian-inspired gold and lapidus blue creation from LaLucca. 

Set in the PT Experiment Gallery on 52nd Street and 5th Avenue in NYC, the artistic and vibrant venue proved to be an ideal backdrop for LaLucca’s art bag collection painting by Aleksandar Kirilov, an emerging, Miami-based artist.

At the event, BagTrends.com’s resident Bag Guru and TV personality, Pamela Pekerman, shared future handbag trends and why one-of-a-kind pieces and uniqueness is in such demand given the current economic crisis.

Guests, including media darling from LUCKY, InTouch, Redbook, Life&Style, OK! and VOGUE, enjoyed VOGA Italia wine, Tawny Ong cupcakes and departed with a BagTrends.com signature BagTreats gift bag. With the help of our twitter and facebook contest, 25 of you Lucky BagTrends bagista also had the chance to hobnob with the press and preview LaLucca's amazing summer 2010 collection.
