Dear Bagistas,
BagTrends.com is your source for what will be hot tomorrow, today. If you’re
the type of woman who knows that accessories can take an outfit from
special to spectacular, then you have found your sanctuary.
BagTrends.com is run by two sisters with a creative flair, a love for
life and an obsession for luxury bags. Pamela Pekerman and Michelle
Finkelshteyn are true bagistas who took their passion for handbags and
created an online magazine and shopping site devoted exclusively to
bags.
Pamela launched BagTrends.com in April 2005, after several
internships at leading fashion magazines including InStyle, Cosmopolitan
and YM. It was during these internships that she learned how the fashion
industry operates. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from NYU with a BA
in journalism she freelanced as fashion writer.
Meanwhile, the BagTrends.com wave kept growing.
In September 2005,
Michelle, an established
web designer, joined BagTrends.com as Creative
Director, bringing new life to BagTrends.com.
Together, the two sisters decided to expand the magazine and launch a
SHOP. They scope out the best trends, find the next it designers and
deliver a bag-a-licious shopping experience.
Pamela Pekerman,
is available for print, television, radio and new media interviews.
If you need a bag expert to talk about upcoming trends, new designers,
bagista faux pas and women's handbag obsessions, Pamela is a perfect
fit. Additionally, Pamela is available for personal appearances/speaking
engagements at your upcoming event, panel discussion or shopping party.

Pamela Pekerman, Founder and Bag Guru
Living the bag-a-licious dream, Pamela pinches herself every
day to make sure it’s all real. She spends her days and nights
looking at bag samples, attending previews and chatting up with
today’s hottest designers. And despite spending time dealing
with the not-so-glamorous business issues like taxes, legal
mumbo jumbo, and contract negotiations Pamela is usually a
100%-content bagista™! Aside from BT, Pamela is the Handbag
Expert for AOL, a regular commentator on VH1’s The Fabulous Life,
columnist for TheHuffingtonPost.com, StyleHive.com and
SassyBean.com, and many other bag-a-licious things. She's also
been on The Home Shopping Network to share her bag wit
and wisdom. Favorite Bags: It’s like picking among
children, but for day I love
Rebecca Minkoff’s Steady in black and Lulu Guinness’ Hilary
Tote in red. For night it’s a Givenchy black purse that Michelle
brought from Paris and I have yet to see in the states. #1 in-the-bag essentials:
a wallet clutch for $, lipstick, biz cards, keys (in case
there’s an evening activity) Bag-a-licious icon: myself :)
and Posh Spice

Michelle Finkelshteyn, Creative
Director
It's not surprising that Michelle is the organized sister - you
have to be to juggle 2 small bagistas-in-training,
freelance design/web consulting and beautifying this divine
site. Michelle's natural eye for design goes beyond the web to
include interior decorating. A Parson's educated designer with a
NYU bachelors degree to boot, it's no wonder friends and family
often turn to this stylish mama for fashion and home design
advice.
